The thing that strikes me is that the old SI was responsive to its user community. And unfailingly responsive to its individual members. Way back when I went on the Net barefoot in the snow (and it was uphill both ways, Sonny) every time I e-mailed or PMed Bead or Jill I got a response. It wasn't necessarily what I wanted to hear, but I was worth a response. I have approached the lords of the New SI privately and publicly - and gotten no answers to some of my serious questions. The impression I get is that the motive power - the engine - behind current SI is NO LONGER the user community. And I know several fellow member who are repelled by this shift in philosophy. I do so wish our current captains would speak out on the Petition Forum.
