Just reviewing GUMM....few recent references on the Zicam website. Are GUMM proponents pinning all their hopes on the acceptance and publication of a study by the NEJM or is there something more that I'm missing? Are they really proposing that the rhinovirus is the exclusive agent of the common cold and that blockage of the ICAM-1 receptor is, in fact, the actual mechanism of this viral protection? At first glance something doesn't seem right here.
