Next thing you know 'ol Ken will be talking about HERF weaponry and the threat of Chinese airliners dropping carbon filaments on our national transmission grid.

The theory of a decapitating nuclear strike using EMP certainly is not a new prospect

But somehow he always seems to overlook what we used to call "massive retaliation" in his scenario. Or what was better known as "Mutually Assured Destruction or M.A.D for short.

It has also been referred to as the "balance of terror".

I mean, just why the heck did we spend so much money on these rubble busters anyway??

And gosh.. look how this economy has growth over the past 40 years under just such a threat.
