>>A couple of people told me to avoid IE4. What's the story there? Neither one who told me that use it by the way!
Is IE5 your browser of choice?<<

I use and like very much ie5. I love the configurability of the toolbar. I also like the way you can string out your favorites on the left side of the screen so they don't go away every time you choose one (ie4 also does this).

It wasn't always this way though. When ie5 first came out I had serious problems with it and then to top it off you couldn't get rid of it (you couldn't uninstall it). I'm not sure if the uninstall situation has changed but I'm not having problems with the app itself anymore. If I do have problems I have DriveImage now, so I'm not too worried.

ie5 doesn't really add that much to ie4, so you're probably safest with ie4.

I think those people were probably talking about ie5. There was a lot of talk about it when it first came out. Microsoft had to make it non-removable otherwise how would they be able to argue their case for the necessity of integrating the browser and the OS?

Didn't matter in the end. It's splitsville for 1/2$Bill.

PS I'm not too sure about the import/export features in ie4 and Outlook Express 4. I wasn't aware of them until I got ie5. I think they are there though.
