yeh, he/they have a guild of "tradesmen"... about five as I last recall. they like to go out every once in a while and kill pc killers for fun. en mass. most pckers sit outside monster generation spots, so those are kinda off limits for newbies... (one older trick is to shapechange into a monster and wait for some newbie to attack, then they kill them and take their stuff and the result is self defense... ie the newbie gets the "bad points" to rep.) I don't know if recent upgrades have fixed some of these little qwuirks. things appear because people who are hiding have dropped them for you to pick up. these would be the same people that may later stab you in the back. as far as interaction go, there is the typical old britania and then there is guild. hope you have friends online... or make some. it will be much more fun if you do(but be careful). ps. UO is kinda like Magic (trading cards) = Cardboard Crack. Takes up a lot of time for what you get. l8r...
