You know 55 in a 45 seems winnable to me- or at least it might be in Ca, or at least in CA where I live. In our area it is more important what streets are "rated" (this is the actual speed most cars are going, determined by speed surveys) as opposed to the posted speed. Police can't win on a ticket unless you are going 5 miles ABOVE the rated speed. I'll give you an example- a street in our town is posted 25 but the rated speed is 35. You can beat any ticket unless you are cited for going 41 mph or more.
