JFK was not surrounded by people trying to protect him it was more like the other way around. No bulletproof top, it was removed. The man driving the car, William Greer, not only slowed down after the first shots were fired but actually turned around to see the president and then stepped on the brakes for the final kill shot to the head. JFK push alot of powerful people buttons and was the last President who actually work for the people of this country.

The motor cycle cops are suppose to ride 2 on each side of the car. They rode behind the car. Roy Kellerman, who sat in the front seat, was suppose to thorw his body over the President to protect him. He was on the floor of the car during the shootings.
