I don't understand. Informed opinion about what? For a person to undergo investigation for spying or whatever, there has to be reasonable proof that spying or whatever has taken place.
We live in a civil society. We do not allow people to go witch hunting.
There is nothing here except a pure witch hunt. Innuendo against Dr. Lee is purely based on his race and ethnicity. Even at that there is ignorance. The man is Taiwanese in origin. In case you haven't been reading the headlines, the Taiwanese and the Chinese appear to be in a life or death struggle. It is unlikely that a Taiwanese or a Taiwanese American, or American of Taiwanese origin, will be passing nuclear secrets to the Chinese.
But, short of setting pure reasoning aside, we cannot, as a civil society, allow ugly emotions to enter a society that is striving for a more perfect rule of law.
