Well, with Eyes Wide Shut left to see, and a couple of others, those may be down my list a bit. But the concept of a "minion support group" is pretty funny...
I finally rented Character this weekend. And I loved it. Sort of Dickensian, no? Dreverhaven was a terrific antagonist.
I had an unintended thrill at the end. During the movie, I said to my girlfriend "Man, this guy is Darth Vader. He has that menace, that presence, that ability to simply enter the room, and give chills." And <spoiler>, when he, in his final act of spiteful love, signs the letter "Father" (or so the subtitle said..) and I looked at what he wrote on the letter...what did he write?
"Vader".
Perhaps I'm a dunce, but I never knew that Darth Vader means Dark Father. And when he wrote that, boy, did the hair on my neck stand up. |
