Annette, I have driven BMWs for years, all series. They do excellently in the snow - a 735 I had outdid a 4WD van on a hill. They are extremely well built, 3-year, 36,000 free maintenance with a loaner, 50,000 warranty. My daughter's friend was driving a 525 a few years ago, and some guy on the highway came roaring by as she was entering it, car was totaled, she was fine. I currently drive a 528 Sport Wagon (do I hear a lot of hoots from my kids) and love it. Get a car at the end of the month - you get a better deal. Good luck!
