An excerpt follows:
--------------------------begin snip:

"The joint venture's project in Portugal is expected to have a significant
impact on the domestic economy of that country including the creation of
thousands of new jobs in the telecommunications and technology sector. Build-
out of the full project is expected to take 24 months to complete with
construction to commence in the fall of this year. The venture is scheduled
to provide managed bandwidth and network infrastructure based on the
development of seven new fiber optic rings, serving and linking the six
largest metropolitan areas in Portugal. The project will feature the
deployment of the world most efficient fiber optic transmission equipment
from U.S. based Silk Road, Inc. and its patented Silk Road Refractive
Synchronization Communications(TM) (SRC(TM)) technology. The proposed system
includes high volume wireless transmission capacity to be provided by WLGS to
support the "last mile" transmission. Through the use of the wireless
technology, point to multi-point connections can be supported for specific
areas of ring cities as well as in areas outside the proposed rings."
