Slider, or any one who knows the far east oil bidness: Shell is cutting back its refining in Singapore. This clashes with all my other informational inputs - could it be that Shell is loosing market share? Or do they have an operating problem unique unto themselves? Doug V. Fant has reported that his company's product sales in the far east are improving. Other indications are that the area economies are recovering fairly briskly. In the fuzzy corners of my memory I seem to recall that some of the Arab states have built a lot of refining capacity over the past few years and not long ago that was reported to be underutilized.
