Those are various examples of what I mean<g>... The objection is not to altering the canon, but the basis for doing so. It should not happen merely to be more "diverse"... Yes, I abhor deconstructionism... I do not think that it should be hidden that some of them had slaves, or that slavery was a vexing issue. I do think that any further emphasis on feet of clay is inappropriate, since children learn to respect the Constitution through a respect for its framers...I think that there should be parental review of the course content of sex education classes, and an "opt out" provision for parents whose concerns cannot be satisfied, most especially before high- school...Yes, I think that benedictions should be allowed at commencements, as they were until quite recently...
