Could it be pressure from new SUNW chip announcement? Elsewhere, Sun Microsystems (SUNW: news, msgs) added 3 5/8 to 71 1/2. That company is reportedly ready to unveil a new chip that is designed to handle multiple functions including graphics, voice and video at high speeds, according to published reports. Architectural details are set to be announced Aug. 16. The MAJC chip (pronounced "magic") -- the acronym stands for "microprocessor architecture for Java computing," according to The Wall Street Journal -- is said to be geared to such products as set-top boxes and video game consoles.
