I don't think anyone asked you to tell us about your cultural heritage, although you're welcome to do so, of course. I believe Lather meant that you are using the word "culture" to mean "tradition."
Lather is a scientist, he uses the word differently. I studied mostly social sciences in college, history, anthropology, archeology, psychology, political science, and culture means something different there, too.
You are using "culture" in a normative sense, I believe, which is out of style these days, "culture" is now being used in a descriptive sense. |
