Having watched Hardball and Rivera Lies every night for months, as well as the complete proceedings on C-Span, I don't think the focus was merely prurient, either, but I think it was blown way, way out of proportion in the hope that Clinton would be impeached. I don't blame the Republicans for trying to get rid of Clinton, if they could, and I think he was wrong to lie. If you think Clinton's sex life is a fair topic for public comment, I fail to see how you think Jefferson's sex life isn't.
