Morgan, Actually i am trading only 1000 share lots right now---not daytrading yet. My problem is that once i start trading using Level II(or real daytrading), i will have to drop to 100shares. That training is going to run from late August to late September. I am probably going to consider that a vacation from the market as the amounts at risk is going to be minimal. The purpose of it is going to be learning to push the right keys quickly.
During that time i can use an online broker for my regular trades--or might just sit out that month.

I am still surprised how the market (especially the Nas) has been able to bounce back. I guess it can be called oversold condition. Maybe foreign investors are taking advantage of the weakness in the dollar (especially the japanese) and putting their money in US equities. I would think most people believe the dollar should be higher against other currencies as we head into year end. As a consequence, they are putting money to work given favorable currency exchange rates for them. Just a guess.
