Attention Business Editors:

JUNIOR GOLD MINING SELLOFF GOOD FOR ROYALTY
COMPANIES

TORONTO, March 27 /CNW/ - Bob Jackson, President of Metal Royalties
Corporation, a subsidiary of McCarvill Corporation (MCR:TSE), said the sharp
pullback in junior gold mining companies' share prices will benefit mining
royalty companies who finance their projects.
``The bloom is off the rose for juniors regardless of where they are in
the world today. They will have considerable difficulty in financing their
projects through the equity and convertible debt markets because investors,
big and small, will be licking their wounds for some time to come.''
``The silver lining in all of this is for companies like McCarvill who
have the cash and the bargaining power to negotiate favourable deals with the
mining companies.'' Also, Mr. Jackson said that the quality of transactions
seen and completed will improve greatly over the next few months.
McCarvill Corporation creates and acquires royalty interests on a global
basis primarily in the areas of natural resources, technology, and media. The
company is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the trading symbol MCR.

<no kidding, eh?>
