C.H., let me start off with pointing out, that the solar eclipse has been preceded by a lunar eclipse on july 28. according to the researcher Steve Puetz, 8 of the greatest financial panics have started when a lunar and a solar eclipse fell within 6 weeks of each other. while there is no hard evidence whatsoever to substantiate a connection between these natural occurrences and the financial panics, it is worth noting that the probability for all 8 panics to fall within the delineated time frame is 1:127,000. i consider this a significant statistical result. however, the Puetz signal has already failed to work earlier this year when it had a chance in late february. but market psychology seems different now, as the danger of higher rates lurks, so maybe the signal will work this time around. interestingly, astrologers in general are very wary of the month of august with regards to financial markets.
we'll see if their predictions of imminent disaster pan out...
