Sun's ratio of successful chips to Klunkers is pretty low - and this will make it lower. Paul, Unlike AMD SUN is a formidable competitor and it is wrong to dismiss the new MAJC chip as just another future clunker. SUN is innovative and creative company and it is not in the chip making business. In recent years it become mainly a software company with chip designing interests. Yes, some of their chips were late or vaporware but most of the time it was due to productions problem from their manufacturing partners like TI. If I was an Intel bigwig I would be concern about MAJC, The internet IS different and SUN may be in a better position than Intel to capitalize on it. We are not talking about copycat company like AMD that try to beat Intel in its own game, making chips, but with a different animal. An innovative company with resources and experience in other areas than Intel. So don?t dismiss MAJC of the bat, and hopefully Intel management will treat it as it should, with respect. Eylon
