Sorry, I meant IQCharts.

I left IQCharts for QCharts last May when they shut down and I didn't realize you had to watch the clock to know it and lost. Anyway, I don't know how long ago and how many upgrades ago you were told QCharts wasn't good for TA but I find the TA available easier and better.

You have available, MA (as many as you want - any color you want), Bollinger Bands - parameters can be set, Donchian Channels, envelopes, choppiness, Directional Movement, MACD, Momentum, ROC, RSI, Stochastics - 3 settings as it should be, Volume, Open Interest, On Balance volume. You can draw lines, rays, retracement, regression and to top it all off add your own notes to the chart. All colors can be set and parameters can be your own. Even the thickness of the line can be set. Most of the settings can be done by right clicking on the chart or indicator....very easy to use.

I find the quotesheet having my symbol list sorted anyway I want is much easier than dealing with the folders in favorites. Clicking on the symbol changes all the charts at one time if you have it set right.

Biggest difference has to be all of the information available in Qcharts. Haven't found anything missing I have gone looking for whether it be value or fundamental. Really has made a difference as to the amount of time I spend web surfing.

As far as windows go - I have three monitors with the window stretched across. In it quotesheets, portfolio w/net gain/loss, 4 different time frame charts, T&S and hotlist making up a workspace. I have other workspaces tracking different types of trades that I can hotkey back and forth between. The windows also go down and I leave a little space to scroll up and down with as I find it easier to use the wheel rather than use the scroll bar.

You can run multiple sessions as long as the programs are located in different directories.

Does the difference justify the cost? For me it does. Being able to set alerts is like having a trading partner. When Qcharts goes down you know it! Has IQCharts made it obvious when it is down or do you still have to watch last time? Oh, if I remember correctly, IQcharts runs better if your computer clock matches their clock. Lockups made my computer clock off.

Well, this is as it should be. We each use what works for us.

Hope this answers any questions you might have had.
I still have IQCharts as a backup.

Take care,

JM
