To all,

The CBOE web page confirms that Amati options will begin trading Monday, June 3rd.

Mephisto,

Yes late last week I bought XLNX stock, and a couple May 30 calls. After testing support for three days, it popped up today on a DLJ recommendation coupled with general market strength.

Last Friday, the May 30 puts had a high bid price of 1.75. I bought the calls at around 2 5/8. As the volatility dropped off while the stock based for three days, both option prices fell. So, Friday was the day to sell the puts, and yesterday was the day to buy the calls.

Wish I had reinforced by buying the May 35 calls yesterday at 1/2. But I'm learning. My goal is to complete 5-10 successful small options trades before committing larger sums. I will sell a covered call on the stock when/if it rises. I'm not sure if it will remain in the 30-40 trading range, or breakout above 40.

You're right, options are a lot of work. I'm too busy right now to handle more than one or two trades at a time.

Regards, Greg
