I tried to send a post from the betabeast, too, just to see what would happen, and got a message saying I wasn't allowed to, or something like that.
Also: I just learned that the beast won't charge a membership fee. I think that's admirably unelitist, and, of course, will make SI a complete clone of Yahoo, and we are lost, lost, unless they relent and let us keep this place.
The thing is, unless there is some material advantage to them to doing that, they just won't.
Maybe all the people who paid for a lifetime membership, or even a yearly one, should be enraged that suddenly their exclusive memberships have been rendered w/o value, and demand to have either their money back, or SI Classic for Members Only. |
