I just read the preliminary prospectus. I like it! I work for a healthcare information systems company, and I like Medscape's overall strategy and the user groups they target. Having "physician eyeballs" is crucial, and if they can establish themselves among physicians then Medscape should do very well in terms of raking in sponsorships and ad revenue. I liked their having 210,000 physician-members, the CBS stake, the fact that they've been up and going since 1996, their well-rounded content, a reputable editor-in-chief, and what I consider a good reason for existence.
