Hi All you experts out there, Could you please comment about the theory below I read in Barrons, 7/26/99 Page 44 by Gene Epstein:

Gene is saying that if market corrects by 30% or so from high, expect the FED to cut fed-funds rate. Gene reached this conclusion based on AG testimony. Also, last week on CNNfn, S. Leeb made the similar comment.

Leeb said to forget interest rate, etc. If DOW drops fast below 10,000, FED will lower rates to prevent a crash. According to him, the real reason FED lowered rates last year is because of US market drop.

Follow Bob's newsletter. It's like forget what Fed says, follow what Fed does. So, follow Bob's newsletter rather than his comments on the radio if you really want to know what he thinks about the market. My two cents worth.
