InfoNow Recognized by The Denver Post as The Top Performing Public Company in Colorado

DENVER, Aug. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- InfoNow Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: INOW - news) today announced that it has been recognized as the top performing public company in Colorado for the 1998 fiscal year.

The results of The Denver Post 100, an annual ranking of Colorado public companies, was announced in the August 1st Sunday edition of the newspaper. The ranking, which is completed in collaboration with the financial news provider Bridge Information Systems, evaluates a company's financial performance based on three factors: earnings growth, revenue growth and total return on investment, calculated by stock appreciation and dividends. InfoNow ranked 17th in earnings growth, 10th in revenue growth and number one in total return on investment. Combined, the company's ranking in the three categories outperformed all other public companies in Colorado. InfoNow topped the technology sector rankings as well.

The article highlighted InfoNow's success in building a blue chip client list for its Internet-based Inquiry Management Services, the Company's plans to become listed on Nasdaq, and a recent analyst report issued by Pacific Crest Securities.

''We appreciate the recognition by The Denver Post. As the article points out, we have historically kept a pretty low profile. We are now working to change this situation and raise InfoNow's profile with the investment community,'' stated Michael Johnson, the Company's Chief Executive. ''Being recognized as the top performing public company in Colorado is certainly a step in the right direction,'' added Mr. Johnson.

The Denver Post Top 100, including the article on InfoNow which appeared in the August 1st Sunday Edition, can be viewed at The Denver Post Online at www.denverpost.com/business/post10099.htm.
