Actually, the Sonoran desest is just fine. Hot, but you expect it. Poor old people don't go into it without airconditioning that their state governments have deleted in welfare funding and die while the various bureaucrats scurry to cover their liability issues instead of getting aircon to the people who need it.

I saw a lot of miserable folks in Wisconsin. None that I heard about in Phoenix. As Patrick Henry said, "Give me the desert, or give me Northern California." Or something like that.

I hope Maxam funding is clarified soon, and I am sure that DR and AH are working hard to get it done. The course of true love ne'er did run smooth (as Patrick Henry said, or was it someone else?).
