DS/Action Direct isn't much better. All these discount brokers hire people to process trades, that is the primary function. So it is little wonder no-one has a "cluck" when it comes to the rules and regulations associated with the equities they trade. What anoys me is that they "pretend" to understand the rules and generally don't give you the correct answer, 60% of the time, if you push them on the issue, they immediately ask the supervisor, who is right about 99% of the time.

If I try to do something like an arbritrage, and I am told I cannot do it, I immediately remind the trader that the conversation is being recorded, so if I lose money by his insistance that I am trying to do something wrong, then i will be looking for restitution! That normally triggers the call to the supervisor, and the trade is allowed to be processed!

I have been successful on 4 out of 6 attempted arbs.
