Engineer - I would say that by March they will have all the peices there to do this.

Without doubt you are in a better position to know this than I. My supposition was based purely on watching other companies try to digest new pieces and make them integral to their product line. Other than a few excellently managed companies like Cisco, it often seems to take well over a year. They often target 9 months or a year, but ... . OTOH, if it is really that simple (a minor rework of the IS-634 interface), ... .

PS As for the SIM cards, that is an interesting question. Motorola is the only relatively big GSM manufacturer that also makes both CDMA handsets and infrastructure. Why do they not offer equipment that allows GSM SIMs to be used in CDMA handsets?
