Not only is the new beta ugly and hard to read, it is hard to navigate.

In my Netscape browser I often use the "Go" button at the top of its frame. When the "Go" button is touched I get a list of the last 10 or so places I have been. On SI, these last 10 items show as the (1) Name of the thread, and (2) The message number.

This enables me to quickly jump from one thread to another, go back several messages, etc.

Now, in the new beta, all I see in the "Go" list is:

[Silicon Investor - Stock Talk]
[Silicon Investor - Stock Talk]
[Silicon Investor - Stock Talk]
[Silicon Investor - Stock Talk]
[Silicon Investor - Stock Talk]
[Silicon Investor - Stock Talk]
[Silicon Investor - Stock Talk]
[Silicon Investor - Stock Talk]
[Silicon Investor - Stock Talk]
[Silicon Investor - Stock Talk]
[Silicon Investor - Stock Talk]

Obviously, this list is of no value, it contains no intelligence. I know the web site I am using. What I want to know are the precise places I have been and to be able to jump to them.

I am not a programmer in HTML, or whatever is used, but I know that different web sites store their bookmark in different ways in my browser. I think that the programmers on this new beta site could change the way browser bookmarks or favorites are stored in the browser.
