Cancor resumes Gemini drilling Cancor Mines Inc KCR Shares issued 14,210,018 Jul 28 close $0.25 Tue 3 Aug 99 News Release Mr. A. Khobzi reports Cancor Mines is proceeding with phase II of the exploration program on the Gemini property. The excellent base metal results generated this spring along with data compilation have allowed the company to target additional drill holes on zone B of the property. As previously noted, all drill holes carried out this spring intersected massive sulphides rich in zinc, copper, silver and gold (see news in Stockwatch April 16, 1999). Two distinct massive sulphide lenses were delineated: The main lens, rich in zinc, contains grades of 5 per cent to 12 per cent over widths of 3.4 metres to 12.80 metres. The second lens, rich in copper, shows grades of 1 per cent to 2 per cent over widths of 4.90 metres to 7.0 metres. The company's new drilling program of approximately 3,000 metres has the following two objectives: to evaluate and increase the total geological resources; and to further delimit the zinc and copper zones. This drilling campaign will continue until September. Bore hole geophysical surveys will be carried out simultaneously in order to obtain better orientation and target definition. The acquisition and development of base metal projects in recognized mining camps remain the cornerstones of the company's corporate strategy, which is aimed ultimately at discovering a world-class deposit.
