Affordable Unlimited Premium Internet Access -- National ISP Launches Service
TEMPE, Ariz., Aug 3, 1999 (BUSINESS WIRE via COMTEX) -- PowerPace, a national ISP, has officially launched its $5.95/month Premium ISP service.
"Users are sending us a lot of positive feedback on the various services we offer," says Warren Weems, Marketing Co-Ordinator. "Customers who sign up for the service receive a POP3 email account, 12MB of free space for their web page, 56K unlimited access in 2,500 cities, access to newsgroups, and 10MB of free storage space; they can't believe the price.
"We offer one of the most affordable prices for any full featured Internet provider. For just $5.95 a month, subscribers enjoy all the premium services offered by other ISP's," says Warren Weems. "There really isn't any difference in our service from others which are charging up to 4 times our monthly rate," said Weems. "With access in over 2,500 cities, it gives 90% of the U.S. population a very affordable Premium alternative," added Weems.
"We are beginning our national rollout campaign beginning in Phoenix, Arizona and Denver, Colorado. We feel these are excellent markets to gain test data and consumer response. We hope to be reporting on our findings over the next few weeks."
PowerPace offers low cost Internet access, with a goal to attract 1 million of new customers with affordable full service over the next 12 months. It competes with other ISPs such as AOL (NYSE: AOL), Earthlink (Nasdaq: ELNK), Prodigy (Nasdaq: PRGY), Mindspring (Nasdaq: MSPG).
