I unlurk to offer this observation: the only poster with credibility has to be Bigdude, who called it clearly, succinctly, and unambiguously well before anyone else on this thread. Ignore touts, hypsters, hopefuls, and the desperate (Walsh among others). What you've got here is: two mysterious fires in the bush that just happened to destroy sampling records; an even more mysterious death of the chief geologist; a known company (Freeport-McMoran) which after close, expert inspection won't touch BRE-X (of course, you SI hypsters known soooo very much more!); very substantial reason to conclude there's no gold in them thar holes; a company spokesman who now touts the stock even as he takes back his own wildly overblown predictions that fooled a lot of poor, simple-minded or greedy people; the whole thing taking place in one of the few places on earth even God doesn't visit; and all within reach of one of Planet Earth's most corrupt and autocratic regimes. Great formula for an invetment, right? Is it true that in all the investment world there is not one single better place for your money?
