I think it has more to do with you and the others being pissed off at me for my comments on BetaSI. As I posted to you by PM, I was given a year's membership by SI on July 24, 1998, ostensibly as the result of some kind of contest, where real members could vote on their favorite trial members, and 25 of us were given memberships. I never saw a contest like that again, so I don't know whether it was a regular thing or what.
As a result, I always felt like SI was a gift, not an entitlement. Now that memberships are free again, I guess that I should feel entitled, too, but I don't. I look at the plummeting stock prices for GNET, and wonder whether they will be sorry they bought SI, I don't see how they can make money on it.
But, as usual, I pissed everyone off. It's a failing of mine, I wish it weren't, but it is. So, I know you guys went over to another thread, and I think it was to get away from me, and I am sorry I ran you off your thread. You belong here and I don't.
