Yeah... like all you "geniuses" who are storing hundreds of gallons of water in barrels or two liter bottles don't face a threat from bacterial growth.

Anyone here ever thought about a solar still? Or tincture of Iodine?

As for Chlorine, they put the stuff in swimming pools where we emmerse our entire bodies in it, get it in our eyes and noses, and conveniently ignore the fact that the little kiddies are peeing in it.

And if any of us face a choice between going thirsty or facing a "potential" chlorine hazard, I betcha we're all going to drink the chlorinated, florinated water.

What is really frightening is that most of you HARD CORE Y2K survivalists haven't shown me you possess the common sense necessary for true survival. Holing up in your house turned bunker is a far cry from knowing how to survive by your wits without all the fancy stored food and water (which will probably make you a target for robbery and murder at the hands of armed gangs of bandits).

True survival requires one to have the ability to travel light and know how to get what you need, either from others or from nature.
