Within a few months we will see a resume of order growth since all
major DRAM manufacturers are planning to ramp up production toward
year end. An article in current issue of EE Times reports that the
biggest Japanese memory makers have no intention of cutting back.
This really suggests that although prices are coming down they are
anticipating exploding demand later this year, which is reasonable
considering worldwide corporate upgrade of PCs to run MS-NT.
Hiring is very positive for Tencor for it definitely means the company
is expanding.
