Yeah, why? Seems to me there will be many new players entering this huge market - and they will use CUBE's codec. (maybe when TiVO and REPLAY were doing the design of their devices, CUBE's codec wasn't available yet so the "quickness to market" priority trumped the cheapest "bill of material" and "ease of design" priorities.)
