Your confidence in the Wintel platform is what's REALLY crazy; and Apple and the Mac are far from dead. The MacOS is the only platform that competes with Windows; Apple's advantage is that the MacOS really works! Based on Windows 3.0 to Windows 95 performance, I'd guess that Microsoft will NEVER get their act together! I'd bet lotsa dough that Stephen and Richard aren't too far off the mark; combined with Apple's proven products, their new management and licensing agreements will carry the company profitably into the future.
