I don't feel any urge to rush into buying stocks at this time. I'm just going to sit this one out! Even with current price drops, I don't see a lot of bargains. The way bear markets work is that there will be an occasional up day, but prices will decline for quite a while.

I'm waiting for prices of stocks (and real estate for that matter) to decline to the point where people are forced to sell, and get really desperate, then I will wait for prices to fall further. I may not get back in the markets in a big way until perhaps 2003. I think there might be some opportunities in the 2003 to 2005 time frame but after that, the markets will probably decline again as the baby boomers start cashing out their stocks to fund their retirements.

Wake me up when the S&P 500 drops below 600!
