RTev, it may very well be that the design of the online version of The New York Times is better than that of The Washington Post.

But I nevertheless prefer the online version of The Washington Post.

Why? Simple. Because you can view any article published in The Washington Post within the past few weeks for free. For any back article in The New York Times (with the exception of book reviews and a few other items), you have to pay.

In the end, content is more important than design. That applies to SI as well.
