Seriously, that was my point-- China is at the point where either they go the way of the rest of the world and open their economy to trade, or they lock the gates as they have in the past and try to expand by other means. To a Westerner, the choice is easy; to them, it may be more complicated.

I think we're saying similar things, just from different perspectives.
