I think SUN is not a big fan of RAMBUS as far as I can recall. A good
design of CPU usually has a very good cache and main memory design.
And a very high performance main memory DRAM such as RAMBUS is provided limited performance improvement to CPU. Even though it can
provide certain performance to the overall system performance, the
higher cost of RAMBUS dram might not be a good trade off. IMHO, Intel
over hype RAMBUS technology to the high end PC market and it doesn't
make economic sense to many dram manufacture. And if MAGJ is targeted
for consumer, it better avoid anything expensive. Personally, I think
RMBS is a over priced stock.
