There was an article in the Toronto Star on Saturday about the infrastructure problems a fuel cell which requires an outside source of hydrogen will create. Over-all, it was a very negative article to technology such as Ballards for this reason (as well as the fact that a thermal glove is necessary to fill your tank or any spilling which lands on the body will immediately freeze that area - a hand or fingers could literally fall off). Without mentioning Global, they talked about fuel cells that burn natural gas, and produce hydrogen as a by product.

My take on this is that Globals technology will have much easier acceptance into our infrastructure but will not be "zero emission". Given the infrastructure problems, "zero emissions" is likely a pipe dream, making Globals technology a much better product for our society.
