Especially when much of the shorts are hedged?

I got your point on this, as a matter of fact, most people here were playing with the e-run a little during July and most everyone thought that the Amzn float/short interest ratio is much less relevant compare with Jan99; and most people thought that the nets(Amzn) will have a very bad summer.

However, if those bondholders were shorting far above $156 in Mar/Apr/May; then they are taking $$ now, and if not, why not? They either have exercised their conversion right or they may play both ends?
