This is probably a waste of bandwith, but here goes:

Your worries are off-base. Rather than the creation of some massive all-citizen data base (similar to the FBI criminal fingerprint database), driver's licenses and commercial biometric companies are only interested in verifying you are who you claim to be. In other words, they can't identify who you are on these systems. You have to identify yourself, and the biometric verifies you are telling the truth.

The technologies between a one:many search (like the FBI does) and a one:one match are entirely different and incompatible.
