Lest I worry some of you needlessly or induce some of you to sell your AMTX shares immediately, I should probably augment my posting of a few minutes ago.

First and foremost, I do not mean to suggest that Amati does not have a strong patent position. As I previously stated, I have not reviewed the patents and do not have first hand knowledge of precisely what Amati has claimed and what the patent and trademark office has actually allowed. It could also be that the ANSI and ETSI standards are nothing more than just a set of basic parameters that Amati's ADSL/DMT technology just happens to be in sync with. The point I am trying to make is that Amati's patent position could be fine if its ADSL technology constitute an invention or inventions that comprise or incorporate a novel way of utilizing wave or bandwidth phenomena.

Am I being clear? It's way too late and I need to get some sleep. I would be happy to answer any of your intellectual property questions. I just don't know enough about the facts concerning ADSL and the standards.
