>>The history list comes from the page title which doesn't change now, unfortunately. The problem exists in any of the several places where you have access to the history list. In IE, you see it by choosing the dropdown next to the back button on the IE toolbar or by looking at the history list in the File menu. In Navigator, you see it also by pressing and holding the back button for a moment (which causes a dropdown with history to appear) or in the history list of the Go menu item.
In Windows, it's also a problem on the taskbar since the current window title shows up there. If one has several SI windows open, it's difficult to tell which one belongs to which topic.<<
Thank you! You said it very accurately and succinctly. I have been complaining about this for many, many days -- to no avail.
I want a History file in my browser that has some intelligence, that tells me where I have been, that helps me click on the appropriate listing to go back to a selected spot. And, I want to be able to tell, from the task bar, which window to bring up.
The new version of SI tells me I have been to:
[Silicon Investor - Stock Talk] [Silicon Investor - Stock Talk] [Silicon Investor - Stock Talk] [Silicon Investor - Stock Talk] [Silicon Investor - Stock Talk] [Silicon Investor - Stock Talk] [Silicon Investor - Stock Talk] [Silicon Investor - Stock Talk] [Silicon Investor - Stock Talk] [Silicon Investor - Stock Talk] [Silicon Investor - Stock Talk] [Silicon Investor - Stock Talk] [Silicon Investor - Stock Talk] [Silicon Investor - Stock Talk]
Now, which one do I choose? SI needs to be more user friendly, for sure. |
