Why would a rich man marry a poor woman at all on any terms? The mere act of marrying a poor woman makes it impossible to marry an even richer woman when the opportunity comes up. If marriage is a merely economic partnership one ought to follow the law of partnerships. Of course, if one treated his business partner as many husbands treat their wives, the go to jail for partner-battering. I don't think rich men should marry anyone poorer than themselves on any terms.
