Yes, when a plethora of info/data is available, it is conceivable that occasionally some fairly accurate predictions could be made by the vulcanologists and seismologists.

More often than not, however, predictions of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes had failed to occur. Also volcanic eruptions and earthquakes had occurred where and when scientists had failed to predict them despite their best computerized info/data, equipment and best predictive efforts!!!

It is quite wrong to say that the astrologer relies solely on his/her intuitive flash.

What is remarkable about an astrologers's predictions is that the astrologer merely arrives at them from certain astrological 'house' positions and planetary aspects whose interactions signify certain specific conditions. Of course, intuition does play a part. (The works of Dane Rudhyar shed a lot of light on this.) Astrologers sometimes use additional methods like scrying. (Nostradamus did not rely solely on astrology!)

It is most remarkable that men like Crawford and Sollog have been able to make predictions about earthquakes and the landfalls of hurricanes, and the demise of celebrities, etc, etc, time and time again, with uncanny accuracy!!!

Lest I should be misunderstood of advocating sole reliance on predictive astrology, let me simply say, "Let's give credit where credit is due", instead of stupidly and arrogantly discrediting the efforts of those who manifest certain faculties and skills we do not fully understand even at this time.

Of course, without a doubt, the predictive efforts of vulcanologists and seismologists and other scientists must go on.
