I Bought an Imation Superdisk Today

Went to CompUSA in the Mac section and picked up the new high-speed $169 USB Imation Superdisk in all Ice-color. Very good looking drive. And it feels MUCH more solid than a Zip drive. Very impressed.

I needed it because I was setting up a Pro-Tools Mix24+ system in a new G3 Mac, and Digidesign/Avid insists on authorizing off of a regular floppy. Since Imation's Superdisk offers backwards compatibility, and G3's don't have it, this was the logical choice.

I am very impressed with this new version of the USB Superdisk drive. It plugged right into the Mac and worked right away. The Mac OS already has the Superdisk drivers built-in. The floppy reading was superb.

Great product, Imation! No wonder so many new Mac buyers are buying the Superdisk!
